Is there a one shot snap where I can snap to the normal of the a selected surface at a given point. Is see on a surface but not normal am I missing something? I am trying to set the rotation of an item normal to a surface.

Hi Dennis- there is not one… for this particular operation, rotate on normal, you can fake it without too much pain using Line Normal first. Just fyi, there’s a RotateOnNormal script here:

Yeah I saw the line normal function/tool. The problem is that I have a bunch and don’t want to place a bunch of construction line. I will check out the script. Thanks.
