Node based material editor

Are there any chanses for having a node based material editor in V6?
Ala something like these:

It was discussed (very much in the abstract mind you) whether the Grasshopper UI could serve as a proxy for both Rhino history records and materials. Although it is obviously possible, it is not one of the prime considerations that are going in to GH2 development. We’d all love to see it, but it may be too difficult or too much work, we just don’t know yet.

That is pretty good news. I would keep it separate from Grasshopper as these windows need to be able to be docked side by side. (it could use the same code under the hood though)
And I understand it is a lot of work… So much work that I bet you couldn’t make a fully working Beta in 48 hours! :wink:
