No visual feedback while selecting edges

Hello and happy new year,
I have an issue with Rhino 8 on a new computer. It didn’t happen on the old one.
As the video tries to show, whenever I want to select an edge, be it for a Sweep or for Surface Continuity Check or be it for an Align which I haven’t exemplified on the video, Rhino doesn’t show which edge I am choosing, No edge is highlighted nor does it show the usual arrows. I only can cycle through the list without visual feedback on the model.
I have noticed, as shown in the video, that this curiously only happens when there are a good number of surfaces visible.
If I isolate the ones I’m working on, the edge selection visual feedback is miraculously back.
Is this a bug?
Can something be adjusted to stop this behaviour?

Thank you for your help!
Xavier

Hi @X111
Pls run _SystemInfo and post back the results.

He meant run the SystemInfo command in Rhino.

 ok, sorry, i’ll do it again
Thank you Jim

Hello Gijs, this time it should be the correct Systeminfo.
I’ve just tried the same I showed on the video again.
Sometimes it seems also related to the zooming distance, other times not.

could you send a model in the exact same position where this occurs? Additionaly, can you run the _Reset command and in the dialog that appears, hit the “Save settings for support” and send that to me in PM?
Large/confidential files can be uploaded here

Hello Gijs,
I’ve been trying around a bit more, and even though I’m not completely sure I think it might be a file related issue.
I’ve copied parts to a new file and retried, and though I’m not completely sure after going back and forth again and again, I’d say this doesn’t happen in the new file.
I’ll copy the model, which has many parts, step by step. It’s a relatively old file which had blocks I got rid of. Sometimes it feels as if there could be old parts, or some kind of remains making trouble.
Anyway, if this doesn’t solve it I’ll come back to be a pain for a little bit more😊

Many thanks and, have a good weekend!
