If I start a drawing command, such as line, pick a start point and before I pick an end point I hit esc, the screen isn’t redrawn until I move my view, so even though I am out of the command it still looks like Rhino is drawing the line.

Yep, got that, thanks- there are a few places where the redraw is not happening- please continue to report these as they turn up…

At the end of the Distance command (both on cancel and success). Probably the exact same deal as drawing a real line, so probably not a separate issue.
Anytime I have a crosshair with a dot in it and a cancel out.
