There are 2 Types of “Text”
Text - that will stay a Text, and allow typing some other message later
TextObject - that will be curve, surface or Polysurface after creation
The main idea about single stroke fonts or engraving fonts is, that the machine-path will follow the curves created by the font. The Character “I” becomes a single line, not a rectangle.
If you want the “I” to become thicker you can run your laser of-focus - this will widen the trace.
If you want the text to be treaded as a graphic and work through line by (parallel) line, you not really depend on a single stroke font.
you still use TextObject or explode existing Text to assign lineWidth.
Make sure to use a different color / layer to be able to assign the correct parameters in Lightburn.
different kind of text top-bottom:
Text (“editable Text”)
Curves with hatch
Surface
Curves (“Arial”) exploded from top object
Curves (“single stroke / engraving”)
