Somehow it looks like I have inadvertently created some of my objects on the construction plane and some off. Is there an easy way to get all the objects on the same cplane?
go to front view or right view or whatever view you have messed it up from just not perspective
then use those as seen in this picture below or use the command Align
Hi Petra,
Here are a couple of commands that you will find helpful:
RemapCPlane - reorients selected objects to a different construction plane.
ProjectToCPlane - flattens objects onto the construction plane.
– Dale
yup or like that but remap is not helpful in this case, thats mostly for switching an object from one view to another, not to confuse her i mean, but handy to have.
Thank you for the help, the aligning is new to me but that worked!
errr, no.
RemapCPlane is to move an object from one CPlane to another. Don’t confuse people…
yes its not the “only” function of it, but saying strictly no does confuse to in that case. since there is a different cplane in every view its for beginners like me the most used function of it.
also calling it move is actually wrong because it maps, that may confuse even more, but thanks anyway.
as you may see there are often several ways to achieve the more or less same thing, while align is quite handy Dale’s suggestion ProjectToCPlane
is better in case you drew something accidentally elevated and stretched over another axis, it flattens it to cplane. Align is also more for a specific desired spot anywhere in the construction.
