Newbee. Create cylinder with domes on each end

Very new at Rhino and i want to see if I am heading int the right direction. I need a cylinder with a dome on each end. I created a cylinder and added an ellipsoid. I planned on using one of the boolean commands to slice off the edges but none of them work.

How would you make a cylinder with a dome on each end?

Hi Frank- the simplest way would be to draw a line with a tangent 90 degree arc on either end and make the thing with Revolve, using the open ends of the arcs as the axis. Another way would be to make a line and use Pipe > Cap=Round,.
