I’m trying to replicate my MoI workflow with Rhino and the first thing I ran into is the default trackpad actions on Magic Trackpad (MacBook & standalone devices). Specifically, I want the default two-finger swipe to pan, not rotate. It does so in the top/down/side views, but not in perspective, where it rotates slowly for some reason. The rotate once the two fingers are pressed works as expected (speed-wise).
I’m aware I can use shift/cmd/etc and swipe to initiate some of these actions, but I’m looking specifically for advice on how to remove the default rotate and swap it to pan instead to align with the other views.
As a bonus question: how can I disable the momentum/inertia applied to pans/rotates? That’s nice to have sometimes, but not as a default. I want the canvas - in whatever view - to “stick” to my fingers. The speed of any gesture in Rhino always seems a bit “off”.
Here’s a comparison:
One-handed precise navigation is pretty important to me as I usually have notes or objects in my left hand and can quickly navigate the scene to compare just with my right.
