It seems that environment setttings for the new ShapeDiver platform doesn’t work. I uploaded simple scene with custom glass material on old and new platform and choose Piazza San Marco as a environment settings preset. (both scenes has the default light settings and shadows turned off)
Reflections on old platform is ok, but there are no reflections on new platform.
One of the fundamental difference between versions 2 and 3 of the viewer is that the environment maps are used to compute the illumination of the scene. Therefore, for the exact same settings, viewer 3 will always look much brighter than viewer 2. You should optimize for one version or the other depending on your needs. In the case of your model above, try decreasing the intensity of all lights in the scene, eventually even deleting ambient lights from the scene as the environment maps does this job now. You will be able to see the reflection of the environment then.
We are about to deploy a new version of the platform that includes HDRI preset environments in the list of presets.
It is however already possible to use an HDRI map of your own if you store it at a public online location and link to this location in the “Custom environment” setting. Both cube maps and HDRI maps are supported now (only on the new platform / in viewer 3).
At the moment, we do not support 4k environment textures. We are working on supporting them, but for now if you reduce your file to about 1k it should work as expected.
