New logo/icon colour or something?

It’s not an important request but it would be helpful looking at different files in a folder…

Are you able to add a V6 icon or change the colour to red or something so that when I look at a number of files in folders I can easily identify which are V5 and which are V6?

It’s not really important once the change to a new version but it’s a bit of a pain when I keep clicking on a file and it says it was made with a newer version…

It’s a shame that the OS doesn’t ask me if I’d like to open it with the WIP version… As with WIP6 asking me if I’d like to back save to V5.

Cheers

Is that even possible if the file extension is the same?

Hmmm… I see what you mean.

Thinking about it logically even new Photoshop and Illustrator icons are the same for older versions.

Oh well - thanks for the response.

With a shell extension you could do icon overlays so you could print out the version number over the file icon. Have the extension check the header of the file.

My solution for this problem is to include the characters “V6” in the names of files saved by V6.

It gets a little complicated after job numbers, drawing numbers, part numbers or dates etc. You have to make the window wider to see the suffix.

It was more for quick selection
