Fellow colourblind here - semi-severe deutan aka red/green colourblind - and I of course agree 100%, for my case especially on the washed out/muted colours. The green (transform) and aquamarine (or whatever it is for Sub-D) are hard for me to distinguish. Same goes for yellow (select) and orange (rendering). Colours are one of the main reasons I’ve accustomed myself to using aliases rather than icons over the years, so I hardly use any icons - actually only the tabs, and there it’s all muscle memory; I don’t look at the icons at all 
Since this is what I’ve grown accustomed to, it really doesn’t concern me much, but I can definitely confirm that the current WIP is hard on the eyes work-wise. Other than that, I actually really like the look and “feel” and I’m a big fan of getting rid of the white lines/curves - they are almost impossible for me to see.
