NetworkSrf fails then wins same curves good and bad shape why?

Hi,
V5
tried Sweep2rails, surfaces will not join and a mess.
Try Network of Curves tool, again do the fwd part then the rest, and will not join.
copy out to another file and try again, and a second run of the command sees it join, same curves, no changes.

try again and nose is not so nice.

What is going on ?

Hello- Sweep2 will like it better if all the cross seection curves match in straucture - the middle one is different from the two ends. Proably better to rebuild the arc-ish parts and then join to the straights

The next one over will join if you MatchSrf the pointy bit back to the network surface.

Hi,
V5
I have re measured and redrawn profiles (car seat wing)
cut cardboard matches, profile gauges as well.

wings a bit flatter mid area after bum wriggling in many times !

sweep2 a mess. maintain height no better, or rebuild.

NetworkSrf does the job.

why is sweep2 so bad at this ?

Hello- for one thing I’d make sure all the curve segments making up the the rails are at least tangent - then you have a hope at least.
