.NET 7 end of life - what's the plan for .NET 8?

Hi, I note Rhino 8.6 for Windows downloads and installs .NET Runtime 7.0, which goes ‘end of life’ next month. For security/compliance reasons we aren’t allowed to use ‘end of life’ products in our IT environment. Can we simply remove .NET 7.0 and install .NET 8.0 and have Rhino run correctly, or is it more complicated than that? Thanks, David.

If this is a problem, you can use the SetDotNetRuntime command in Rhino to switch to the older .NET Framework 4.8. We don’t have any built in mechanism at the moment for switching to .NET 8.

Thanks Steve, I’ll do as you suggest.
