- Take a spiral plant (pinecone)
- Model phylotaxy of a spiral plant on a two-dimensional plane
- Extract the front line
- Duplicate the front line in three different outlines (one for the background, one for the minute handle, one for the hour handle)
- Wrap outlines
- Add holes at the tip of handles
- Add construction spaces for handles
