My Rhino doesn’t update and now I can’t open enscape

Updates are blocked and I dont seem to have Mcneel services. Now I cant work with Enscape at all. What is the problem?

I’m assuming you are running Rhino 8? Rhino 8 doesn’t use the McNeel Update Service but uses standard Windows or macOS processes to download updates in the background.

If that means that the Enable Updates and Usage Statistics option on the Rhino Options -> Updates and Statistics page is grayed out, then Rhino was originally installed with the option to disable checking for updates. If you are on a managed PC, that might have been done by an administrator and this is an all-user setting that cannot be undone by individual users. To change this, Rhino needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled with “check for updates” enabled.
