Here is my problem. All these containers keep coming up. No matter what I do, I deleted them all and keep only the ones I use. I tried saving the file after and when I open the file right away it seems fixed but after a few hours they come back on.
I tried creating a new template. Does not work. I tried using a default rhino template. Does not work.
The only pattern I have found is that if I restart the computer it after deleting the Containers and saving the file they come back immediately. Besides that pattern I do not find any other.
What is annoying is that If I delete them at the beginning of my work session they will appear randomly after a few hours and start filling up my work space with floating and non floating containers.
Please advice.

I have the same problem. Look at all those duplicates!

This is becoming very annoying now. The containers keeps coming up and more and more are being added with every use and no way to get rid of them permanently. When does it stop?
This sounds really annoying. The first thing I need to do to help is to reproduce this.
Can you zip up and send me this folder '/Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/8.0'.

Is it much smaller if you don’t include plugins?
I took out all the TextureCatches and uploaded again

I’m able to use it but now it is giving me weird glitches, my memory usage jumps way high and is showing me 170gb use on Rhino only and I have to restart it. plus when I go from one layout sheet to another it crashes sometimes. I feel it is just not going to be usable for too long. way too many tool containers open at the same time.

I think there are a number of strange things going on here that definitely need looking at and a resolution.
Are you able to share the file in which changing layouts causes the crash to the same upload url?

What I’ll do is I’ll work on a fix for these silly duplicating containers and get a custom 8.x build you can try. If that fixes it, we’re good, if that fixes some things but not everything, then we’ll work from there.
