Dear Rhino Forum users,
If I copy a set of lines, the operation is almost instant, but if I move the same set of lines it takes a very long time. If the drawing is not too complex, moving takes 5 seconds, but if it is quite complex, it requires sometimes 30 minutes. I attached a drawing example, together with my Rhino system info.
I have colleagues in the office with lower hardware specs and they don’t run into this problem as I do.
Hi P -
Please do.

Hi Wim,
I am sharing it here.
This is just a small example, but if you copy this set of files 5 times, and then move them, it takes already at least a full minute before is finished.
Thanks for your help.

Hi P -
Thanks.
That seems to only take a second or two on my system.
What happens when you disable those plug-ins and restart Rhino?
-wim
Hi Wim,
I just did it. It still takes the same amount of time to move. Copy is not a problem.

Actually now, when before was taking 1 minute, it’s already taking 3 minutes to move 5 copies of the original set of lines. Maybe something to do with memory not being able to free up space?

Hi Paulo -
Could you post a screenshot of your entire Rhino UI?
-wim
Hi Wim,
Just another info: opening the same file in rhino 7 does the same problem. However, opening it on rhino 6 it’s no causing any problem.
Hi there, Would it be possible for someone to follow my question/issue? This is creating big problems in my daily workflow. Thanks.

Hi Paulo -
When you save this window layout as a custom layout and then restore the default layout, does the behavior change?
-wim
Hi Wim, I have done it on rhino 7 as I am working with several open files in rhino 8. I have restored the default layout but the problem remains.

Hi there, It seems I will not have further assistance here in the forum. What would you advise me to do in order to solve my problem? Who should I contact in order to get some help on this topic?
