Move Points directly without selecting them first

Hello!
Is there a tool to move points without having to select them first?
I want to quickly tweak / move points around, and it slows down the workflow if you always have to click twice for that.
This would be more or less a combination of a selecting and moving tool.
Softimage for example had the very handy “Tweak” tool for this.

You should be able to just drag points around without selecting them first as long as you do not have “Drag selected objects only” checked in Options>Mouse…
