Hi,
V5
Is snap better than a dimension value for moving ?
Absolute tolerance is 0.001 inches.
I explode a complex object as I need to move a surface a small amount, then moveEdge to marry up adjoining surfaces again.
I have drawn a line from start to finish for the moves and placed it nearby to use for repeat moves.
If I then select object and use the line as the amount to move it.
If I then use dimension to measure that line and use the indicated length for some moves.
Which when it comes to joining up all the surfaces again is the better more accurate method ?
snap or dimension value ?
No naked edges are wanted !
Dimension is set to show 4 decimal places,.
Absolute tolerance is 0.001 inches.
If I use that value in an R command, move R followed by X value, then y value hit enter.
Is that just as good as snap, I want everything joined up with same watertight aspect as before.
A basic principle here.
Cheers
Steve
