Mouse and keyboard failure

There was an update to the V6 trial version which I lust installed and lost the keyboard and mouse. Restart and shutting down and restarting didn’t fix it. Fortunately I had a couple of spare USB ports which I put the keyboard and mouse into, forcing Win10 to reload the drivers. Then I put the keyboard and mouse back into their original ports. Everything seems to be fine now. I’m just putting this out there in case someone else encounters the same problem.
