Monochrome Display Mode

I hope I will not spoil any grand premiere, mostly I wanted to say that the Monochrome display mode is beautiful and I’m glad to see such an addition. I wonder what else will be possible with this new display mode in the future. So far I wish we could use it in Per Object mode, therefore I could have one object with Monochrome & Hidden Lines ON, and the rest of the scene without Hidden Lines.

I’ve only noticed that. It is fantastic, indeed. First thing comes to my mind is a presentation tool.

Yes, cool. What I don’t get is this:

Why is ‘creases’ not enabled by default?’ Looks odd without (IMO).

Hi @Czaja - I’m glad you found it! We just recently added it, to play around with a soft shadow schematic type of display mode.

@MitchH - I think we wanted to start simple, thus left the creases out. It seems to be model-dependent. On some models that have large meshes, it can be cumbersome and add a bit too much visual information, but if everybody prefers it with creases on, we can make it the default.

Note, how objects with transparent material transfer as transparent objects in Monochrome.
