I keep running into an issue while trying to export artwork using MonarchRender. I’m trying to export artwork and Cut Paths at 150dpi, saving to PDF and using relatively small files sizes but when I start the export it runs through the first few panels and then Rhino crashes and shuts down.
I’m confident it’s nothing to do with the actual file data as I can export fine using a different PC. Seems to be software related? Has anyone come across this before?
I’ve just built a new PC and the problem has been there since. I’ve tried to reinstall Rhino and the Plugins but still cant find the issue.
Hi Liam - if you have a new pc, make sure both Windows and especially the graphic driver are the latest available. Please run SystemInfo on that machine and post the results here.

Rhino plugins that do not ship with Rhino
C:\Program Files\Tri D Technologies Inc\ExactFlat\ExactFlat.rhp “ExactFlat”
C:\Program Files\Tri D Technologies Inc\Monarch\Renderer.rhp “Monarch”
HI Liam -
That SystemInfo looks fine, other than the two 3rd party plug-ins.
Do I understand this correctly that the issue is directly related to MonarchRender? I’ve never heard of this plug-in and a quick search for it doesn’t tell me much…

Yes that’s correct. Monarch Render is another plug-in from Exact Flat. I’m using Exact Flat to flatten from 3D to 2D. Then using Monarch to Render and Export the 2D Flattened pieces including any artwork and cut-paths on the model.
Monarch will start to export then a few seconds later unexpected crash Rhino which then shuts down.
The process works fine and have been using it successfully for several months. Until the new PC, but I can still export the same files from another laptop.
I’ve tried a fresh windows install on the PC, including re-installing Rhino and the added Plug-Ins.
