Modelling issue - linework preview invisable

Hello,

Recently I have encountered a problem with all the drawing tools. As you can see in the video I am drawing a polyline but I don’t see how it looks like until I press enter and finish it. This happens with everything that involves any linear navigation. Although the bug disappeared for a while when I restarted my PC now it stays and is super frustrating.
P.S Video soundtrack is completely accidental

Hello -

Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

Does this happen if you start Rhino in safe mode?

Start Rhino in Safe Mode: Windows start menu, type in ‘Rhinoceros’ and look for the ‘Rhinoceros in Safe Mode’ entry.

“Rhinoceros 7 tion”…? First time I’ve ever seen that one.

Heh - good eye!

-Pascal

As it turns out I had a cracked Rhino :expressionless: I am working on a university loaned laptop and since it was here I thought it’s licensed and the ‘tion’ thing is normal. Regardless I wanted to buy my own educational license anyways so just waiting for the payment to be processed and then I will see if the problem persists.

Hello, I just got the issue again. I think that the file is somehow damaged is there a way to check that?

Hello - the first thing to try is to disable all of the above plug-ins in Options > PlugIns page then close and re-open Rhino and see if there is any change for the better - if so, re-enable these one at a time and see if you can figure out which, if any, is responsible…

-Pascal

Will do, but it started working as it should again so will wait for the issue to happen again

-Daniel

Hi Daniel - it is hard to know - it seems likely, or at least possible that it does the bad thing when one of these plug-ins is loaded - if it is working now, I would explicitly load each of these plugins one at a time from Options > Plugins page and see if the behavior degrades.
