Scanning object with iRhino3D WIP

iRhino3D WIP (8.1.23259 (11.2.1) - September 18) available via Testflight uses iOS 17’s Object Capture API to create fully textured 3D models of objects using photogrammetry and LiDAR input. This is an unfinished feature with some known issues and many unknown ones. For serious work, use the Appstore version of iRhino3D. There’s a couple other apps, I’d recommend, too. But iRhino keeps getting better n’ better.

The other app I’d recommend is ‘Scaniverse’ cause I actually proved that one out. There’s a few others but I hadn’t really proved them out yet.

I made a scan on iPhone the other day using Scaniverse. The speed is incredible, and the meshes it generates are fairly detailed. It seems to work best with objects that have a matte texture but that is to be expected.
