Modeling advice

Hi people.

I’m working on a Bialetti Moka Express, but the spout is causing some trouble… The thing is really quite complicated to do as there are some pretty complex triangular surfaces, and so, bad vertexes. Below are a few pics of what I’m trying to achieve. Any help appreciated. I want to try and do this as accurate as possible…

Here’s one way of doing the spout: The 12-step spout (not made to measurements - pure eyeballing!). I guess there are a LOT of different ways to approach this, so experiment to get it just right :smile:

Your main problem is that You are trying to build the triangular surfaces as (mostly) triangular patches.
Try thinking of them as rectangular patches trimmed to triangles.
