Missing Materials in Rendered Mode

Hi All,

I am using Rhino7 for MAC and having issues in rendered mode.

I have assigned a material, but some surfaces show the material as white, or faded out. The material is set to 0% transparency, and I have sun and skylight switched off.

Can anyone suggest a reason for this? I’ve tried everything!

Maybe post a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Maybe select the objects you have given the transparent material in your screenshot?

Hi Nathan, here you can see where the material is assigned. As soon as I rotate the screen, the material fades away (as in the first screenshot I posted).

Ok, so you have panels in front the smaller shelves, and gave them a glass-like material?

If the surfaces are completely coincident you’re going to get z-buffer fighting. You should ofsett the panels ever so slightly away from the main body, say 0.001, or 0.0001.

Maybe if you could share your 3dm file we could better assess what is going on instead of going back and forth in trying to guess what could be the issue…

Thank you Nathan. The material of the shelving is all Oak light.

You indeed have coincident surfaces. Remove the ones you don’t need and you should get much better results.
