Missing lines with make2d and clipping plane

Hi!

I have been using Rhino for a while now but I started having troubles with make2D when using clipping plane top-view. When not using clipping plane, the make2d result is perfect.
However when I use clipping plane, and with the option Clipping Plane Intersections disabled. The result is missing lots of lines.
If i enable Clipping Plane Intersections there are random lines being added instead. I usued to get perfect result without the Clipping Plane Intersections option enabled.

I had a friend with the same specs as me running the same file and for him it worked perfectly.

  • I have tried uninstalling Rhino and purging everything related to Rhino and re-installed the program to its defaults and I am still having the same issue.
  • I have tested switching the tolerance levels without improvements.

Now I am at a loss and don’t know what else I should try.

Hi Christian -

Your title says that lines are missing but random lines are added?
I’ve looked at your file and your images but I need help finding out what’s wrong…
Could you run the Make2D command with the options that lead to an issue and put the curves that are wrong on a separate layer?
-wim

Thanks for your response.

When i keep the option Clipping Plane Intersections OFF. Then i loose a lot of lines. This is the way I used to do it before.

When i set the option Clipping Plane Intersections ON. Then I get some noisy lines.

The result differs depending on where i cut the model.

Here is both make2d versions in one file. See the screenshot below of what is wrong.
The left option is when the lines are missing (Should be very obvious what i mean), the right one is when there is noise (Big circle) plus some details missing (small circles).
