Missing GH file - Any possibilities to locate it?

Hello everyone,

I have a problem finding a GH file, and I would greatly appreciate your kind help, please.

A few months ago, I was working on this choker design. Unfortunately, the GH file seems to be missing. I managed to recover all the files that were deleted from the recycle bin up until the date the file was created, but no luck; however, I can still see a preview of the Rhino file (attached). So, does this indicate that the GH file still exists on my computer?

I’d also like to mention that there’s a high possibility I saved the file under a different name. So, is there a way to locate it, please?

If you want to find the file with a different name you could just search for gh files from a certien date and then order them by file size. You probobly remember the size domain of your file. deduce from that the suspects and continue from there.

The picture might just be a snapshot of the last time. The devs would know better.

I took the snapshot less than an hour, just before I created the topic.

Hi Nada -

No, that’s just an image that’s generated from the active viewport when the file is saved.

As was said, you’ll have to search your machine / network for *.gh files and check those based on their date, name, …

I did the search as suggested, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find it. I will double check to see if I can find anything.
