Missing blocks in VisualARQ templates

Hello Francesc! Hope you are doing well, you think that visualarq 3 would come in the first semester?

Also, in the beta whenever I import templates, not all the blocks come with the template.

Hi Leonardo,

I hope we can publish it in 1-2 months.

Which templates are you importing and from where? If you start a new document from a VisualARQ template, are there any missing blocks? which ones?

The template I dave from rhino 7 VA2… it loads, I select one element for example, use it and then when I would select other features from the template it appear the option but not the blocks.

Hi @Leonardo_G_Pate can you specify which object styles have missing blocks? please share a sample file so I can better understand what’s happening.

I notice that when I loaded the template, all blocks are there normally, but after the time, maybe a purge command or deleting something (don’t know really why). Blocks that I didn’t use previously are vanishing and not appearing in the file instead of getting sticked to it like it should… They are still there as VA elements but the blocks 3d and 2d blocks sometimes aren’t… in my opinion, the file should internalise template data when the template is loaded on the file.

Maybe is happening because I didn’t used the blocks by the time I did a purge command in the file, and the unused blocks were deleted. But i am not sure.

Well, the purge action would explain that problem.

Yeah, i know, but maybe its not a good thing, since I need to purge the file sometimes an getting the template handcapted because of this… Maybe it was good to at least have an option to purge the template blocks you are not using or not.

Some blocks have different appliances on the process, while 1 block could be necessary at the begining and others on the finishing.

Take this as a wish

For this reason, I’ll keep a copy of the blocks that I use in my drawings in the modelspace and use it in a detail on the general notes for the drawing legend.

Serves as a legend for anyone reading the drawings and also keeps the blocks from being purged when I clean the drawing up.

yeah i thought about loading it all and lock it, but some of my blocks are in 3d and it will always have to have them there. It could be something internalized.
