i don’t understand why the same dimension is different when it’s take from different view

Dimensions are calculated based on the construction plane that they are drawn on. Different views will likely have different construction planes.

ok, so the dimension display are actually a projection of the 3d distance into the 2d construct plane.
So what about the distance took on perspective view ? it’s real dimension in to 3d space ?
I have to design a cover for a geodesic dome ?
The dimension took on unroll surface should be ok to send to the production? 
Hello - Dimensions pay attention to the active construction plane but Distance, DimCurveLength and Length do not - these can be used to verify the 3d distances.
