Which Service Release are you using?
I think you are using Rhino 7 SR0 or SR1. Unfortunately, as mentioned in this discussion, there was a problem making splits work less reliably there.
I suggest you move to at least SR2. You can use this option:
Also, the pink mesh geometry seems to be problematic. See the output of the MeshRepair command:
If this is the standard of geometry you are dealing with, I think you’ll have to keep on working with the other software for the time being, as it seem to be doing more repairing with the type of geometry you have at hand.
