Mesh wrong face selection

Clicking on the mesh in Shaded mode to extract mesh faces selects was giving me the wrong faces. I had issues with selecting mesh faces before, but it was in Rhino 7 and with Brush Selection.
. BUG: SelBrush selecting some random mesh faces outside of viewport

Now I see that it’s also not working as it should even with the regular sub-object selection

No external plugins are activated in my Rhino WIP.

if you zoom in closer does it help?

those faces are pretty small at that zoom level, rhino has to determine if you want an edge a vert, or a face and at that scale they are all very close together.

you can also use selection filters to help focus the picker. (command SelectionFilter)

Please watch the video. It shows that instead of selecting elements in front of the mesh, faces and edges on the back or side of the mesh are being selected.

I did watch-

does it get better if you zoom in?

I can not reproduce this problem now. It was reported 1,5 month and several Rhino WIP versions ago.
Glad that it’s gone.

great- thanks for letting us know. The forum is a biiiig place. thanks for your patience with the delay.
