Mesh stretch issue in Kangaroo2 simulation

Hi all,

I am trying to use Kangaroo2 for garment simulations.
Here is my workflow:

  1. Create 2D garment patterns.
  2. Define stitch lines (springs connecting garment seam lines)
  3. Adjust the length of the springs (stitch) the seams while a 3D body is between the front/back garment patterns, so that the garment is worn (collides) on the body.

What is important to me is not to deform the 2D garment patterns (pants meshes) while doing the simulations (step 3), but it seems that the meshes are stretched when they collide on the body surface.
If you take a look at the files attached here, you will be able to see the area of mesh increased even though I gave a very high parameter to make it rigid.

Because the main purpose of this simulation is to optimize the 2D garment pattern, I would like to keep it from stretching.
Could anybody give any help on this issue please?
I also wanted to see where the stretches happen (strain) - I think it mostly comes around the crotch though…
