Can anyone tell me if it is possible to select a mesh and only have the outline shown so I can see the mesh without all the vertices lit up? Thanks!

Hi Paul -
This is not currently on the Rhino 8 list but I added this thread to [RH-31739](https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-31739) Selected object highlighting - more options

Hi @Paul_Sparrow, you might try to enable below option for the desired display mode:

 ![grafik](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/mcneel/uploads/default/original/4X/b/2/c/b2c57769ae36f55451209c9d74698647c44d8b9a.png)

To get rid of mesh wires, you can turn them Off from the display panel or in the display mode as well:

Any update on this? Working with a heavy mesh as a reference, would help to only see the outline.

Hi Frank -

As you can see, [RH-31739](https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-31739) was briefly on the 9.0 list but is now back on the Future list.

In the meanwhile, you could see if running `TestSilhouetteHighlighting` helps in your case. This is a test command, and experimental as such.

That’s what I’m after just a pity that only works with the part actively selected.

For mouse-over highlighting, you could try the following advanced setting:

> Rhino.Options.General.MouseOverHighlight

-wim
