Mesh problem / Lofting-Shading

Hello community! Hope you can help me out with this!

The staircase is in the image below is made of two meshes. The end is a static mesh modelled manually, and the other is a lofted mesh (via Pufferfish).

I noticed that the shadows behave differently on these two objects. The end is sharp and clean, the loft is quite blurry, almost giving the impression that it isn’t creased. I’d like the loft to be as sharp and crisp as the end piece. I’ve had similar issues in the past that were solved through Welding, Combine&Clean-ing, Mesh joining. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to find a solution this time and was wondering if someone else has solved this before?

It looks like a normal / smoothing problem, can you try add mesh crease to these edges?
use the commands below.

_RemoveCrease

You’re right! Unweld component works perfectly for that!

If you want keep weld you can also try recalculating the normals (Pufferfish rebuild mesh has it as an option).
