Hi everyone,
I have to simulate a load of 50 kg/m2 (0.49kN/m2) on my structure and to do this I used the mesh load command. On the command I checked both point loads and line loads. I wanted to ask if this was the right way to simulate the load or should I proceed differently.

Hi Corrado, this depends how you want to simulate how the load is applied - a line load will be applied at the entire length of the line, whereas a point load is only applied to the nodes.
hi @matttam i want to simulate that the vertical load is applied at the entire length of the line. so i just have to check only line loads, i guess, thus I will have applied a vertical load of 50 kg/m2 distributed over the entire structure.
Then just selecting line loads should be accurate. Just make sure the orientation of your loads too - you can check this in the ModelView component
