Mesh edges don't show (Mesh solved, but still some Karamba issues)

Karamba part.gh (83.9 KB)
Two days ago I posted my first question on this forum. With the answers I was able to solve that issue, but now there is a new problem. (For context: this is my first time using Karamba, so I might have gotten some basic things wrong)

The first thing I noticed was that the UV segment lines don’t show up in the mesh like I see in tutorials. Would it also be a good idea to sepearate the mesh so that each point load affects one mesh square?

In the end, the main purpose is to analyse the mesh based on the MeshLoad Var loads. I’m sure that there are more issues than just the UV lines not showing up. But I think the UV lines might be the main issue? (I didn’t connect the display yet since it takes quite some time for the laptop)

And would this work better if I give the loads a position with AddPos?

You can show and hide the mesh edges by pressing ctrl+M

Oh wow, I wish youtube tutorials would include information like this as well. Sometimes you just have to know that something is possible to be able to find a solution.

If you don’t mind, I’m going to change the topic title from ‘UV lines…’ to ‘Mesh edges…’

I also changed the category to Grasshopper Karamba3D

You can learn more about the interface and some of the essential basics by reading the Grasshopper Primer:

Foundations | The Grasshopper Primer Third Edition (gitbooks.io)

Sure.

I’m still not there yet, but at least something is showing up now that I reduced the amount of UV lines

Will try to figure out whatever is going on here now. If anybody reading this has tips that would be great. But thanks anyway.

There are some things wrong with your script:

  1. the meshes are invalid - check the meshing setup
  2. for the variable load, you need to input one list of vectors for each face of your mesh
  3. check your datatree structures - everything is not matching at the moment so you are creating hundreds of models.
