Mesh edges display bug

Hello everybody,

I have a visual bug that happens sometimes and I would like to ask if it happens also to you and if you know why / how to solve it

I have a geometry that I can see correctly if it is a Brep, but when I convert it to mesh the edges are floating away when I select it. the actual edges are in the correct place if i isolate them, but if I select the mesh the preview is bugged

Does anyone know what is happening?

thanks

it will not help in this case, i often encounter the same issue. But if i am not mistaken, it only happens on windows. Its purely visual bug, it is not related to gh file contents. And its always a mesh problem. Maybe it has to do something with rhino file though. But i think it happens because of graphics driver/z buffer problems.
Try ZoomExtents, check all geometry is near the world origin

I don’t have that file anymore.. here is another random example

MeshPreviewBug.gh (115.8 KB)

I don’t think this bug is related to the file (rhino or gh), wich is why I didn’t post it. The same scenario doesn’t end up with this bug if I open it on another PC, so it must be something with some settings that I can’t understand.

Maybe I posted on the wrong category? Is there one for these type of things? sorry

@diff-arch @martinsiegrist any thoughts on this?

… maybe far from origin. But I don’t see the problem you see. What units and tolerance are you using?

I don’t know what to say, except what @martinsiegrist already mentioned.
Everything renders fine for me.

It might help the developers, if you run and post your Rhino SystemInfo here.

Same issue here on mac (i was wrong it being windows speciofic), now i doubt it has anything to do with drivers. Geometry is close to origin.

Issue exists only on selected geometry
