Mesh Boolean issues

Niot sure if this is in the correct forum. Feel free to move.

Working on a clock face which is a mesh. I need to boolean split the mesh with each solids number on the clock face (seems it gets confused If I do more than one number at a time) I get all the numbers split until I get tot the last number and the split does not subtract the solid number from the mesh. It looks like it does the spilt but I cannot delete the split number from the mesh (the entire mesh gets deleted instead of just the number). I tried to do a difference with the same result. In desperation I tried to explode but that did not have the desired result. I also tried to recreate the number solid to make sure that was not the issue. Not sure if I reached some sort of limit with how many boolean operations I can do or that the issue is. I may just go back and recreate in version 8.

Any comments are welcome TIA.

Can you send us the model? If they are done one at a time, does it complete in the end?

Running the check command on all the meshes will also help to see how healthy the meshes are.

Also, are the meshes separated? Grouped? Or joined? These can all effect results in edge cases.

No issues sending the model (just point me to where to send it to).

The clock dial is one large mesh and the numbers are solids. So I boolean the mesh with each number and the face stays as one mesh entity. I get all the numbers except for the last number just won’t work. When you get the model its the right 1 in the number 11. I did ungroup everything before the boolean to simplify the process. I am not an expert user so I clearly may have done something wrong. The reason the face is a mesh is I started the process with a more complex boolean (do the hard one first) operation that turned my solid face into a mesh.

If I do more than three or four solids at once it never completes. If I do two or three it creates multiple mesh surfaces for the boolean split. So if I boolean the numbers 1,2, and 3 at once the result is that the boolean creates 3 or more meshes of the numbers that need to be deleted out of the face mesh and usually the last mesh number cannot be deleted out of the face just like the issue I am having with the last number doing them one at a time.
