I got 4 point clouds in xyz format and wanted to create one surface from them. Now I tried merging the point clouds before creating the surface, but the resulting surface still does not look right. It seems like there are Points connected to each other although not being nowhere near to one another. I will share my grasshopper and Rhino File for you to take a look. Surface From Points need properly sorted points, you can’t arbitrairly throw un-ordered points at it.
Luckyly your points have clean X and Y coordinates, so we can approach the problem like this:
Disable the preview of the new Point parameter and Sort Points component before connecting them.
Otherwise the preview of 4million points (twice) will kill the performance of the viewport.
