Menus don't render correctly - Surface Pro 3 - Windows 10

So I’ve had a copy of Rhino (3) and was wondering if going to Rhino 5 would be worth spending the money. (And also because I’m tired of my 3D mouse not working on version 3).

So I downloaded an evaluation copy and started playing around. Made the simple design of a computer system
with the major components and sheet metal. However when I went to render and tried to set the transparency I
can’t find it. After some time I’m to the point that I’m just not getting the transparency slider displayed.

I’ve attached a screen grab of the “Materials” menu and as you can see it is cut at the Reflectivity. I suspect that the transparency slider is below this. I’ve tried expanding and contracting the windows but no such luck.

I’ve tried this on the standard Surface Pro 3 display and a 4K display that is also running on the same machine.
Still the same issue. I’ve also noticed that the command window cuts off the bottom of the main menu.
So I only see the top of “File …”

Is this an install problem or some other configuration issue.

Yes, tried that - didn’t fix the problem that I’m seeing. See the attached
screen clip. I should have (I think) the transparency slider
but it doesn’t show up.

@John_Brock, don’t you have a Surface Pro?

I have a Surface Pro 4
I used it to sort out the registry hack and external manifest.
I think @Kyle has a Surface Pro 3

Surface Pro 3 with the i5 and the Intel Graphics. It happens when I open a
dialog box. Say File->Open
as soon as I select “open” Rhino re-sizes from full screen mode to what
looks like about the amount of
pixels for a regular HD display. If I click on the maximize button it gets
even smaller. So for some reason
Rhino thinks that is the full screen size. Then when I click on the
maximize button again it goes to the full
screen resolution but everything is just slightly off.
