Material IDs


I am struggling to find a way how to assign two materials to one object, without exploding it. Simple example, I would like to assign a green material to one side of the cube and pink material to rest 5 sides. But I need to keep it as one object. I migrate it to ue4 and exploded geometry is prolonging render times much. Is this possible at all?


Hello - try: Subobject select (ctrl-shift click) on the face you want to assign green to, and in the Material panel, select your green material, and in the context menu, choose ‘Assign to object’
