Hi All,
I have been blown away by the amount of choice in rendering and texturing software we have nowadays. I usually used to use V-Ray with materials that I found online.
But now I am trying to push my renders further with the new project in which I would be creating materials of my own for physical objects that would be manufactured one day.
I am looking for best workflow if money was no object. And since using grasshoppers non destructive nodal design workflow I am looking for something similar in texture generation.
I am starting with an Image and I want to achieve the following:
- Size the Image to square and power of 2 rule.
- Make it seamless and tillable.
- Generate Maps for Normals/Displacement.
- Repeat the process for around 100 materials hence the nodal workflow requirement.
Would love to do this and have a live preview of material or even material on my model within Rhino or as short workflow as possible. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help in advance!
