Material editor inconsistencies between preview and final

I noticed this problem when trying to edit a material, working in Rendered Mode:
Step 1: adjusting color for a transparent material. In the viewport the color gets blue.

Step 2: after clicking ok, there is no color anymore:

(Trying to adjust the color for a glass type instead of custom type, doesn’t do anything, but that’s probably another issue)

your reflectivity is at 100% I think the reflections are blowing out your color.

if you lower the reflections value, does the color come back?
