Material Detailed Settings

I can’t seem to find the detailed settings so I can rotate and adjust the image I’m using as a surface material. How can I rotate an image in the materials tab?

Hello- change the material type to ‘Custom’

Thank you Pascal. I did that but I still don’t see how I can rotate the image.

Hello- ah, sorry - you cannot rotate the image inside of Rhino materials that I know of but you can rotate the mapping - if you apply planar mapping to the objeect then show the mapping, you can fiddle with the mapping widget.

Hmmm. Where can I find that button? I can’t seem to find it under Properties or the texture panel. And it’s not in my panel options.

above is all the panels it seems I have available to me.

Seems I found it. It’s a bit hidden as the object needs to be selected to view that specific panel.

This process is super annoying. Is there any way to copy a UV map I already made from one face to another?

use the brush

You can adjust the texture map rotation without going into texture mapping. See here:

Not very intuitive, but if you click on the texture map under Textures-> Color you should get this rollout where you can simply change the rotation.
