I’m very new to rhino and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make materials brighter so the object stands out in the render. I have pasted an image I have rendered and I would like to know how to make the squares you see that are producing the shadows stand out more.
You could either use just a brighter color on the material, or add one or more lights that have their shadow intensity set to 0%, and their light intensity decreased to an acceptable level.
Attached a file with a PointLight that I named FillerLight. It has shadow intensity set to 0%, light intensity to 20%. Further there is a low sun active in the scene.
Turn off the PointLight to see how it helps.
Use light types that fit your model best, maybe a rectangular one would do fine.
