Managing grasshopper plug-ins before formatting a PC

I have just formatted my PC and reinstalled Rhino Grasshopper, but I forgot to backup the plugins I used to have before. Seems like the only solution is to open my old files and find the necessary ones.
What is the best way to backup plugins before formatting a PC? Simply copy and pasting the Component folder into new machine would solve the problem?

Thanks,

Amaraa

That’s what I would do. Possibly you would need all the special folders

Copying GHA files (and the dlls and other paraphernalia that are sitting next to them) will work most of the time, but some plugins will rely on complicated setups. For these you will have to run the installers anew.

Yes, I have noticed that. Thus, I have made a dedicated folder for storing the installation files of every plug-ins I am going to install.
