Making "mesh patch" like the normal "patch" command without tricking it

Hi everyone, in the image example, if we use normal patch command, we get the expected result, but not with mesh patch command, it leaves extra unnecessary pieces, however, when I draw outline, then choosing it as a hole, and since it outside the object’s parameter, it will give you the correct shape, so is there a python script to do that conveniently in one step without needing to trick it?
