Making 2 tangent ellipses and spliting curves in gh

Hello,
I am having some trouble here:

  1. i want to create two tangent elipses (img 1) and that elipse 2 will stay tanget when elipse 1 is modified.

  2. I want to splite elipse 2 with the other curves (img 2). so i intersected all the curves and tried with the shatter, but for some reason its not working.
