Make2D missing dots in perspective view / Properties panel empty

Hi!

I’m working on some drawings and I just found out that dots are not showing on Make2D anymore in perspective view lines. In isometric view it works fine.

Also since the last update, the Properties tab looks empty. I need to close it and open it again to show the info.

Make2D test.3dm (243.6 KB)

try running toolbarreset

(warning, this will reset your tools to default and you will have to reload any custom UI elements you have made, back up any custom toolbars before you do this)

if that fails,

go to add remove programs in windows and find rhino in the list.

click it, then modify>repair

restart and try rhino again.

I was able to reproduce this using your file in an in-house 7.18 build.
I’ll do some digging…

@JBAngel
What was the last build where the Dots in the perspective view worked for you?
I just tried 7.14 (January) and it’s not working there either.

Thanks, Jon!

To be honest I don’t remember. It’s been a 3-4 months since I last made detail drawings with dots in them

Thanks a lot Kyle!

I’ll try that later and see if it works

I can’t tell that Dots ever worked in the Perspective projection.

I just tried in in V6 and no Dots in the Perspective projection.
V6 is when Dot support was added to Make2D.
Dots weren’t supported at all in Make2D in V5.

I’ve added an enhancement request:

Kyle, yesterday I tried both resetting the toolbars and repairing Rhino and it’s still not working

Jon, we have some drawings with dots in perspective view and we were pretty sure they came from Make2D but we could be wrong. Thanks for adding the enhancement request
